Armenia’s Minister of Infrastructure, Gnel Badasyan, and the head of the country’s tax authorities, Davit Sanosyan, have both resigned following a tense meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The two officials were summoned to an emergency session with Pashinyan, where the discussions reportedly led to their decision to step down, The Caspian Post reports, citing TASS.

Additionally, 24news reports that the head of the Interior Ministry, Vahe Ghazaryan, also tendered his resignation, while unconfirmed reports suggest that the head of the Investigative Committee, Argishti Kyaramyan, followed suit.

Although there has been no official confirmation of these high-profile departures, the Prime Minister's decision regarding the matter is expected soon.

The resignations come on the heels of a recent Cabinet meeting in which Pashinyan publicly criticized Armenia's security forces. On November 14, the Prime Minister expressed concerns over the "anti-state" mindset within Armenian society, remarking that Armenians have lived in artificially created states for over 600 years, with Armenia having experienced only 35 years of true independence.
