Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a decree convening the first session of the Qurultay of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Under the decree, the first session of the first convocation of the Qurultay will take place on August 28, 2026, Kazinform reports.

The decision was made in accordance with Paragraph 2 of Article 58 of Kazakhstan’s Constitution.

The presidential decree takes effect on the day it is signed.

The decree was signed by Tokayev at the Akorda presidential residence in Astana on August 26, 2026.
