A 27-year-old passenger was detained at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg after attacking two flight attendants during a flight from Dubai to St. Petersburg.

The man had been drinking alcohol during the flight and ignored the crew’s instructions. He reportedly began using abusive language before becoming physically aggressive, according to ren.tv.

The passenger attacked two female flight attendants, striking them in the face and stomach.

When the aircraft landed at Pulkovo Airport, law enforcement officers were waiting for him and took him to a police station.

After he sobered up, the man was released under a written undertaking not to leave the area, while the incident remains under investigation.
