Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan Strengthen Cooperation in Combating Crime

Uzbekistan’s Interior Minister Lieutenant General Aziz Tashpulatov met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Uzbekistan Rashad Mammadov.

The parties noted the evolving relationship between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, rooted in friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership, UzA reported.

The parties focused on the current situation and potential areas for cooperation between the two countries’ internal affairs agencies. Discussions specifically covered experience sharing in fighting crime, terrorism, extremism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, and cybercrime.

The parties highlighted their mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in law enforcement and public safety.

Following the meeting, the parties identified potential areas for collaboration. Both parties confirmed their commitment to steadily developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
