The Uzbek government and Wildberries have signed an investment agreement for a major infrastructure project in the Tashkent region, with the company set to build a modern, multi-purpose logistics complex.
The new logistics hub will be located on a 67.3-hectare site in the Bogzor zone of the Zangiata district in the Tashkent region, according to UzDaily.
Design work has already begun, while construction is scheduled to start at the end of October 2026.
The investment agreement was signed between Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade and Wildberries. Under the deal, the company will be responsible for ensuring the logistics facility is completed and commissioned on schedule.
The project is also expected to create significant employment opportunities. According to Wildberries, around 7,500 jobs will be created at the facility and in related areas.
The project includes a human capital development component, with at least 2,000 people expected to receive training through specialized educational programs.
Another key focus will be promoting Uzbek-made products on international markets. Wildberries plans to support efforts to increase exports of locally produced goods.
The new logistics complex is expected to expand the Tashkent region’s warehousing infrastructure while creating additional opportunities for Uzbek manufacturers to reach overseas markets.
Construction of the facility is scheduled to begin in late October 2026.
