Following a brief dispute with the speaker, Ghazaryan left the podium and returned to his seat. At that point, ruling-party lawmaker Vahe Ghalumyan attempted to approach him to “settle the matter.”
Ghazaryan’s faction colleague, Vazinak Vartanyan, blocked his way, triggering a confrontation. Other lawmakers then joined the altercation.
The parliament speaker eventually called a recess to the parliamentary session.
