An Armenian court has lifted a travel restriction imposed on ex-President Serzh Sargsyan, while declining to dismiss the criminal case against him.
The measure preventing Sargsyan from leaving the country had been imposed on August 26, according to Sputnik Armenia.
At the same time, the court rejected a request to terminate the criminal proceedings against the ex-president in a case linked to the privatization of the Black Fortress in Gyumri, a prominent cultural and historical landmark.
The ruling means Sargsyan is no longer subject to the travel restriction, but the criminal case against him will continue.
