Azerbaijan Airlines Restarts Baku-Astrakhan Flights After Summer Break

Regular flights between Baku and Astrakhan will resume on September 30, 2026, providing a renewed direct air link between Azerbaijan and Russia’s Caspian region.

The service will be operated by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), according to information from Astrakhan International Airport.

The Baku-Astrakhan-Baku route is scheduled to operate three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The direct connection is expected to make travel between the two cities more convenient for passengers while strengthening links between Azerbaijan and southern Russia.

AZAL will operate the route using Embraer E-190 aircraft.

The flight between Baku and Astrakhan will take approximately 1 hour and 25 minutes, offering a relatively short direct connection across the Caspian region.
