Azerbaijan Joins International Space Rescue Treaty

Azerbaijan has officially acceded to the “Agreement on the Rescue of Astronauts, the Return of Astronauts and the Return of Objects Launched into Outer Space.”

The draft law regarding this accession was placed on the agenda of the Milli Majlis plenary session, The Caspian Post reports, citing local media.

The agreement was originally signed on April 22, 1968, in London, Moscow, and Washington.

Following deliberations, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted.
