A course called “Military Public Affairs and Strategic Communications in NATO (STRATCOM)” was held in Baku, organized by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense and NATO Joint Force Command Brunssum Mobile Training Team, with the support of the Media Development Agency.
The course, hosted by the Media and Public Affairs Department of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense, brought together personnel from various departments and military units of the Ministry, as well as representatives from other government agencies, The Caspian Post reports citing the Defense Ministry.
As part of the program, participants were given a presentation on the communication strategy of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense.
Throughout the course, participants engaged with subject-matter experts through presentations on a range of relevant topics. The sessions included interactive discussions and opportunities for the mutual exchange of ideas and experiences in the field of strategic communication. The guests were introduced to the Ministry's publishing, multimedia, and editorial activities.
The primary objective of the course was to highlight the critical role of strategic communication, enhance coordination in information operations, and develop the capabilities of participants to design and implement effective communication plans within operational environments. Additionally, the course aimed to demonstrate the importance of a unified approach among allied countries and organizations, while increasing preparedness for information warfare during armed conflicts.
