Two Amur tiger cubs were born at the Baku Zoo, a rare and endangered species, The Caspian Post reports, citing AZERTAC.
The Amur tiger is the largest tiger subspecies and the world’s third-largest land predator after polar and brown bear, adapted to live mainly in the Russian Far East and parts of China.
The species is currently listed as endangered on the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List and is also included in the Red Book of the Russian Federation.
