The NATO Evaluation Level-2 (NEL-2) assessment of two Mi-17-1V helicopters of the Azerbaijani Air Force has been completed under NATO’s Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) Programme.

According to the evaluation plan, the helicopter crews carried out wounded evacuation operations, transported humanitarian cargo and personnel, and performed low-altitude flights, The Caspian Post reports, citing Azerbaijan's Defense Ministry.

Their ability to respond to various potential aircraft malfunctions was also assessed.

The NATO evaluation team gave high marks to the operational capabilities and skills of the two helicopters and their crews, as well as the relevant units.
