Türkiye attracted 47.25 million foreign tourists in the January-October period of 2025, according to official data released on Friday.
This figure represents a slight 0.1% decrease compared to the same period last year, according to the Culture and Tourism Ministry, The Caspian Post reports, citing Turkish media.
Istanbul remained the country’s top tourist hub, accounting for 33.9% of all foreign arrivals. The city hosted 16.01 million visitors over the ten months. It was followed by Antalya, the Mediterranean tourism hotspot, and Edirne, located on the border with Bulgaria and Greece.
In terms of visitor nationalities, Russia led with a 13.5% share, followed by Germany and the UK.
Tourist arrivals in October alone reached 5.68 million, marking a 4.3% annual increase.
