16th Meeting of Turkic States" Council of Elders Opens in Budapest

The 15th meeting of this structure was held in March of this year in Ashgabat under the chairmanship of the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

As is known, the Council of Elders is an advisory body of the Organisation of Turkic States, which includes elders of the member countries of the UTC, appointed from among prominent public figures. The National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has been a member of this Council since April 2022.

The agenda of the current meeting included current issues related to the activities of the Council of Elders and the UTC. The subject of discussion was also the prospects for further joint work of the member countries of the Organisation, as well as the progress in implementing the recommendations adopted at the 15th meeting held in Ashgabat.
