Bishkek Business Forum Boosts Kazakh-Kyrgyz Economic Ties with $8.2 Million in Agreements

From December 1 to 3, Kyrgyzstan’s capital hosted the Trade-Economic Mission of Kazakhstani Exporters, organized by the Kazakh Ministry of Trade and Integration, QazTrade, and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan.
As part of the event, 30 domestic companies representing various sectors of economy held B2B meetings with their Kyrgyz partners, The Caspian Post reports, citing Kazakh media.
On December 2, ahead of the meeting of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Council, the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Business Forum took place. The event turned out to be an important platform for discussing the prospects for the bilateral cooperation.
Representatives of 80 companies of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan participated in the Forum. The program of the event included B2B meetings and a ceremony of signing the agreements. Following the Trade and Economic Mission and the Forum, seven commercial agreements worth more than $8.2 million were signed, which became an important step towards strengthening the economic ties between the two countries.
The Kazakh delegation, which included the representatives of business and government agencies, was led by Vice Minister of Trade and Integration Kairat Torebayev. .
