Middle Corridor Marks Milestone with 300th Container Train Departure from China to Azerbaijan

By 2025, the number of block trains sent from China to Azerbaijan and Europe is set to increase more than threefold, with an annual target of 1,000 trains.

The 300th container block train has been dispatched from China to Azerbaijan via the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR), also known as the Middle Corridor, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC said in a statement, The Caspian Post reports.

The train, which departed from the Kazakhstan–China terminal in Xi'an, is expected to arrive at the Baku International Sea Trade Port between December 8 and 10, passing through Kazakhstan.

By 2025, the number of block trains sent from China to Azerbaijan and Europe is set to increase more than threefold, with an annual target of 1,000 trains.

Additionally, freight transport in the opposite direction has commenced, with the first export cargo from Baku to China sent by rail on November 24.
