On November 11, a delegation from Uztelecom visited Huawei's headquarters to discuss potential collaboration on 5G technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data applications in Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, employees of the national telecom operator got acquainted with ICT innovations to introduce advanced technologies in Uzbekistan, The Caspian Post reports, citing UzA.
The possibilities and best practices of implementing 5G and 5.5G networks using artificial intelligence and big data technologies were studied in such areas as strengthening the country’s ICT infrastructure, particularly the implementation of the concepts of smart cities and smart homes.

For many years, the parties have cooperated in implementing significant projects and introducing innovations in communications. In particular, during ICTWEEK 2024 in September, companies launched the 5.5G network for the first time in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to sign a Memorandum of Cooperation to implement a project to introduce artificial intelligence and big data technologies.
