Georgia imported 90,100 tons of petroleum products from Azerbaijan worth $88 million in January-July 2026, representing a 131.1% increase from the same period in 2025.

During the reporting period, Georgia imported a total of 1.05 million tons of petroleum products valued at $967 million. Compared with the same period of 2025, this represents a 32.7% increase in value and an 8.7% increase in volume, AZERTAC reported.

The average value of imported fuel was approximately $917 per ton in January-July 2026, up from around $751 per ton in the corresponding period of 2025.

Russia was Georgia’s largest fuel supplier in January-July 2026, accounting for 392,800 tons worth $292 million. Its share was about 30% by value and 37% by volume. However, fuel imports from Russia declined by 10.7% compared with the same period last year.

Türkiye ranked second after Russia, supplying Georgia with 112,500 tons of fuel worth $135 million, marking a 153.9% increase compared with the same period last year.

Romania ranked third, supplying Georgia with 139,400 tons of fuel worth $131 million. The value of imports from Romania decreased by 1.4% compared with the same period in 2025.
