Iran has reaffirmed its strong backing for China’s vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, along with the four global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping, underscoring Tehran’s commitment to deeper multilateral cooperation with Beijing.
Iran’s Ambassador to China Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli made the remarks during a meeting in Beijing with Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee, The Caspian Post reports via Iranian media.
He said Iran is ready to strengthen coordination with China to help promote a more just and balanced international order.
Rahmani Fazli noted that the coming year marks two milestones in bilateral ties - the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership - calling it a key opportunity to accelerate cooperation. He highlighted plans to advance agreements reached by the two presidents and expand collaboration in trade, investment, people-to-people exchanges, and local-level cooperation.
Liu Haixing, for his part, said the recent successful meeting between the Iranian and Chinese presidents has provided clear strategic direction for future relations. He stressed that China is willing to deepen exchanges with Iranian political parties and institutions to ensure the effective implementation of bilateral agreements.
The Chinese official also reiterated Beijing’s firm support for issues related to Iran’s nuclear interests and emphasized the importance of strengthening strategic communication. He added that expanded exchanges of governance experience could enhance dialogue among civilizations and support the long-term, stable development of the Iran-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
