An explosion targeted a military convoy in the Mahmoudabad area of Iranshahr, located in southeastern Iran, on Wednesday, destroying at least two armored vehicles.

Sources said the blast was heard across the city, prompting military and security forces to increase their presence in the area surrounding the scene, The Caspian Post reports, citing Iran International.

Authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the explosion.
