Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi is set to visit Iran on August 25 for talks focused on bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei announced the visit, saying Albusaidi will meet with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi during his trip to Tehran, Newsru.co.il reports.
The two top diplomats are expected to discuss ways to strengthen relations between Oman and Iran, as well as key regional issues.
Baghaei said that the visit is also aimed at continuing consultations on peace and security in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz region.
