Tanker Struck by Unknown Projectile in Hormuz: UKMTO

The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said it had received reports of a tanker being struck by an unknown projectile in the Strait of Hormuz.

“The master of a tanker reports being struck by an unknown projectile, causing a fire in the engine room which the crew are fighting,” UKMTO said in a statement, The Caspian Post reports.

“There are no reported casualties or environmental impact at the time of this warning.”

Earlier on Monday, the operations center reported that at least two other vessels had been struck by unknown projectiles.
