US President Donald Trump has said that American intelligence agencies provided him with two sets of intelligence reports on Iran containing significantly different information.
Trump said that he had received two sets of intelligence reports that differed significantly from each other, according to TASS.
Earlier, US media outlets, citing an internal memo from Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, reported that Tehran had intensified efforts to organize assassination attempts against US citizens in the Middle East and other parts of the world.
Trump declined to disclose the contents of the additional intelligence reports but said the US was handling the situation with Iran effectively.
The US president added that he had other reports but would not discuss their contents at that time. He said the US was doing very well with Iran and had very good intelligence on the country, some of which had been declassified while the rest remained classified.
