Kazakhstan's national carrier Air Astana has announced the temporary suspension of flights to Dubai from July 21 through August 31, citing growing security concerns in the Middle East.
The decision follows the deterioration of the security situation around the Strait of Hormuz and the wider region, The Caspian Post reports via Nur.kz.
Air Astana said that scheduled flights will continue to operate until July 21 to allow passengers currently booked on the route to complete their travel.
Customers who have already purchased tickets for affected flights will be offered a full refund, free rebooking for a later travel date, or the option to change their itinerary to another international Air Astana destination at no additional cost.
