Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has congratulated Tajik President Emomali Rahmon on his birthday, wishing him continued success in serving the Tajik people.

Tokayev highlighted Rahmon’s historic contribution to building a sovereign Tajikistan, maintaining peace and harmony, and promoting the country’s long-term development, according to Qazinform.

The Kazakh president also praised Rahmon’s role in strengthening the strategic partnership and alliance between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, which are based on longstanding ties of friendship and mutual support.

During their conversation, Tokayev and Rahmon noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations and stressed the importance of expanding cooperation across a broad range of areas.

The two leaders also exchanged views on pressing regional and international issues and discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings.
