Rescuers in Semey, Kazakhstan, freed a woman whose foot became trapped in an escalator at a shopping mall. The dramatic rescue operation was captured on video.

The emergency was reported to the 112 hotline after witnesses said the woman’s foot had become caught in the escalator, Tengrinews.kz reports.

An operational rescue team was dispatched to the scene. Using hydraulic equipment, rescuers opened a technical gap between two escalators and carefully freed the trapped foot.

The woman was then handed over to ambulance crews, who examined her and provided the necessary medical assistance.
