Kazakh State Counselor Erlan Karin has chaired a meeting of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission.
The session reviewed Kazakhstan’s implementation of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) 5th monitoring round under the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.
Officials including Civil Service Agency Chairman Darkhan Zhazykbay, Prosecutor General Berik Assylov, Finance Minister Madi Takiyev, and Justice Minister Yerlan Sarsembayev presented reports on adopting international best practices in law enforcement.
A draft law aimed at improving national anti-corruption legislation has been submitted to the parliament. Karin emphasized the need to continue thorough review of recommendations under the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan.
