Kazakhstan Delivers 3.5 Tons of Medical Supplies to Afghanistan

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan announced in a statement on Monday that Kazakhstan has delivered a humanitarian aid shipment of 3.5 tons of medicine and medical supplies to Afghanistan.

The plane carrying the medical supplies landed at Kabul International Airport Monday morning, accompanied by a high-level Kazakh delegation led by Serik Zhumangarin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, the statement said, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

According to the statement, the delegation was welcomed by Nooruddin Aziz, the acting Minister of Industry and Commerce, who also held a bilateral meeting with Mr. Zhumangarin and his accompanying team.

The purpose of the visit is to participate in the Kazakh-Afghan Business Forum and strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, the statement said. The statement added the forum will focus on exploring opportunities for collaboration in the fields of trade, investment, and transit.

The launch of a joint business forum between Afghanistan and its neighboring countries is a crucial step in fostering economic growth, regional cooperation, and mutual prosperity, because it offers a powerful platform for enhancing trade, investment, and diplomatic relations while creating sustainable development opportunities for the involved countries.
