Kazakhstan Unveils Final Results of Historic Constitution Vote

Kazakhstan has released the final results of its nationwide referendum on adopting a new Constitution, confirming strong public backing for the reform.

According to the Central Referendum Commission, a total of 7,954,667 citizens voted in favor of the new Constitution-accounting for 87.15 per cent of all ballots cast. Meanwhile, 898,099 voters opposed the changes, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

The Commission had earlier announced preliminary results and officially recognized the referendum as valid, confirming that turnout and voting thresholds were met nationwide.
