Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has shared the outcomes of his recent international visits, emphasizing the country’s strategic role on the global stage.

President Tokayev underscored that a balanced and constructive foreign policy, aligned with Kazakhstan’s national interests, is key to the nation’s sustainable socio-economic development amid digitalization and the rise of artificial intelligence, The Caspian Post reports via Kazakh media.

He noted that the strong interest of many countries in partnering with Kazakhstan reflects the state’s authority and prominence internationally.

During his address, the president highlighted his recent official visit to China, describing it as productive in advancing the full spectrum of bilateral relations under a long-standing strategic partnership. He also recounted successful visits to Türkiye and Kyrgyzstan and outlined plans to visit Russia and Uzbekistan later this year. Additionally, Kazakhstan is preparing to host leaders from Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan in Astana, alongside scheduled meetings with heads of state from various Asian and European countries. The president drew attention to significant commemorations this year, including the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II. Highlighting the importance of peace, President Tokayev welcomed the outcomes of the Russian-American Summit in Alaska and the Washington-brokered peace declaration between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Marking the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations, President Tokayev described the UN as an indispensable platform for addressing global challenges, while stressing the urgent need for reform, particularly within the Security Council. He announced plans to address the UN General Assembly’s Anniversary Session in New York to present Kazakhstan’s vision for international cooperation and proposals for UN reform.
