U.S. President Donald Trump has congratulated Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of Kazakhstan’s Republic Day, highlighting the strengthening partnership between the two countries.
In his congratulatory letter, Trump praised the progress made in bilateral relations over the past year, including cooperation on international peace and security and major commercial agreements benefiting both countries, The Caspian Post reports, citing Akorda.
He also recalled that the United States was the first country to recognize Kazakhstan as a sovereign state in 1991, emphasizing Washington’s continued commitment to the country’s independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“U.S. companies have played, and will continue to play, a vital role in Kazakhstan’s remarkable economic success story,” Trump wrote.
