Kyrgyzstan Names New Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration

The Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz parliament) has unanimously approved Kanat Sagynbayev as the new Minister of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, with all 81 MPs voting in favor without discussion, supporting President Sadyr Japarov’s nomination.

In his address to parliament, Sagynbayev expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and outlined his key priorities, including protection and support for all social groups-from youth to the elderly-assistance for people with disabilities and those in difficult life circumstances, and the management of labor migration, both for Kyrgyz citizens going abroad and for foreign workers in the country, The Caspian Post reports via Kyrgyz media.

“Every citizen is part of our republic’s human capital. Our task is to create conditions for people to realize their potential, talents, and abilities for the benefit of Kyrgyzstan’s development,” Sagynbayev said.

He added that his work would be guided by the National Development Strategy until 2030.

The new minister also pledged to cooperate closely with the Jogorku Kenesh, the president, and the cabinet of ministers to successfully implement all assigned objectives.
