On August 10, as part of his visit to the United States, Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Elnur Mammadov met with Andrew Stowe, U.S. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan-United States bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of further developing the partnership between the two countries across a broad range of areas, The Caspian Post reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.
The discussions focused in particular on the implementation of the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States of America, as well as the outcomes of the Baku Economic Dialogue.
The parties also exchanged views on a number of international and regional issues of mutual interest and reaffirmed their readiness to maintain close engagement and continue consultations on matters contributing to peace, security and prosperity.
