Russia struck Odesa and Kharkiv: One dead, several injured

Tensions between Russia and Ukraine have intensified once more, as Russian forces launched a new aerial assault on the night of June 20.

The attack targeted multiple Ukrainian regions, including Kharkiv, Odessa, and Sumy, using combat drones, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

Alarm in Kharkiv in the middle of the night

According to Kharkiv city mayor Igor Terekhov, at around 2:00 a.m., the city was attacked for the second time. He stated that five explosions were recorded in four districts. As a result of these attacks, at least three people were injured, including children. It was also reported that around 50 cars on the premises of apartment buildings were damaged.

Even teenagers were harmed

According to Oleg Sinegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, among the injured were 12- and 17-year-old girls. “According to updated information, the enemy launched 8 drone strikes on the Shevchenko district of Kharkiv,” he added.

High-rise building fire in Odessa

Odessa OMA head Oleg Kiper said, “Odessa was again hit by attack drones. In the central part of the city, one of the high-rise buildings caught fire due to a drone strike.” According to him, two people were injured. Additionally, civilian infrastructure, residential buildings, a university building, a gas pipeline, and private vehicles were damaged.

No peace in Sumy either

According to the newly appointed head of the Sumy OMA, Oleg Grigoriev, drones struck buildings in the Kovpakov district. “One of the residential buildings caught fire as a result of the strike. Fortunately, no one was harmed. The fire was completely extinguished,” his Telegram message states.
