Azerbaijan and Central Asian Nations Explore Maritime Transport Cooperation with Pakistan

The ambassadors of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries in Islamabad met with Pakistan's Minister of Maritime Affairs, Muhammad Junaid Anwar Chaudhry, to discuss the development of maritime transport and port logistics, according to Turkmen officials.

The parties discussed the development of cooperation in maritime transport and port logistics on both a bilateral and multilateral basis, The Caspian Post reports citing local media.

Participants emphasized that expanding cooperation in this area plays a key role in strengthening regional connectivity and sustainable economic growth.

Following the talks, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening their partnership and agreed to regular contacts to discuss ways to expand cooperation in transit and maritime transport between the countries of the region.
