The death toll from an explosion and fire at Russia’s Amur Gas Chemical Complex has risen to five people.
According to preliminary information, 19 injured people have been hospitalized in the city of Svobodny, REN TV reports.
Thirteen of those hospitalized are in moderate condition, while six others remain in serious condition.
Some 113 people were taken to hospital for medical examinations following the incident.
The explosion and fire occurred at the construction site of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex in Russia’s Amur Region. Authorities are continuing to assess the situation and investigate the circumstances of the incident.
