Russia launched missile and drone attacks on Kyiv and the surrounding area on Thursday, targeting sites involved in drone-component production, a military depot, and a logistics hub, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry.
The ministry said the strikes targeted several sites in and around the Ukrainian capital, including facilities linked to drone component production, Reuters reported.
The Russian Defense Ministry made the claims in a post on Telegram but did not provide further details on the extent of the damage or the specific locations of the facilities it said were targeted.
The strikes came amid continued Russian military operations across Ukraine, with Kyiv and surrounding areas repeatedly targeted by long-range missiles and drones.
The latest attack follows a broader intensification of aerial warfare, as both Russia and Ukraine continue to rely heavily on drones and long-range weapons to strike military and infrastructure targets deep behind the front lines.
