Russian Strikes Hit Nova Poshta Warehouses and Businesses in Kyiv Region

Russian forces launched overnight attacks on Ukraine on August 28, striking Nova Poshta warehouse facilities in the Bilohorodka community and a production site in the Sviatopetrivske district of Kyiv region.

Information on possible casualties and injuries was still being clarified, according to Ukrinform.

Anton Ovsiienko, head of the Bilohorodka community, said that two additional strikes hit the same location nearly an hour after the initial attack, while firefighters were working to extinguish the blaze.

Emergency crews managed to move to a safe location before the subsequent strikes. Rescue operations and efforts to contain the aftermath of the attack are continuing, with heavy smoke reported in the area.

Elsewhere, Russian forces carried out more than 10 attacks on two districts of Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region from the evening onward, using aerial bombs, drones and artillery. Two people were reported killed.

In the Zaporizhzhia region, 861 strikes were recorded across 53 settlements over the past 24 hours. A woman was killed and six others were injured.

Zaporizhzhia regional governor Ivan Fedorov said that the attacks included 18 airstrikes, 626 drone attacks, 11 multiple-launch rocket system strikes and 206 artillery attacks.

Meanwhile, a Russian drone attack in the Kharkiv region killed one person and injured two others, including a child.
