The first HÜRJET advanced jet trainer and light combat aircraft set to be delivered to the Turkish Air Force has successfully completed its first flight following a series of ground and taxiing tests.
Haluk Görgün, head of Türkiye’s Presidency of Defence Industries, announced the milestone, describing it as another important step for the country’s domestic aviation industry.
“The will that leads our independence to victory today continues to soar on the wings of our national aviation,” Görgün said.
He also expressed gratitude to the Turkish Air Force Command, employees of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ), engineers, technical specialists and all partners who contributed to the development of the HÜRJET program.
