Russia and Tajikistan are actively advancing negotiations to involve Russian energy companies in joint oil exploration and development projects in Tajikistan.
The ongoing discussions were a central focus during a recent meeting between Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak and Tajik Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma, held on the sidelines of the Russian Energy Week forum, The Caspian Post reports via Russian media.
“Talks are ongoing regarding the implementation of joint projects for oil field development in Tajikistan,” the Russian government stated.
