Tajik Delegation Joins Efforts to Shape Global Financing Facility Strategy for 2026–2030

The Tajik delegation participated in the high-level meeting of Global Financing Facility member countries, held in Cape Town, South Africa.

The delegation of Tajikistan presented the progress in implementing the Action Plan for 2024-2026, which covers the following key areas: improving access, quality and relevance of primary health care services, sustainable financing, health information management systems, digitalization of the sector and ensuring sustainable human resource development, The Caspian Post reports citing foreign media.

As part of the meeting, Muhsinzoda met with the head of the Global Financing Facility Secretariat Luc Laviolette.

The meeting focused on the prospects for expanding investments to strengthen the health care system of Tajikistan and further developing the partnership with this fund and the World Bank.

The parties also discussed issues of attracting other donors with the participation of the Global Financing Facility to increase the volume of funding in the country’s healthcare sector.

In addition, the delegation of Tajikistan took part in the development of the Global Financing Facility Strategy for 2026-2030, the main goals of which are to mobilize sustainable funding for member countries, maintain the achieved results in the field of protecting the health of women, children and adolescents, expand proven innovative approaches and reduce dependence on external aid.
