Tajikistan, Saudi Arabia Seek Closer Parliamentary Ties

The Speaker of the House of Representatives of Tajikistan, Faizali Idizoda, has met with the Speaker of Saudi Arabia’s Majlis ash-Shura (Consultative Assembly), Dr. Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al ash-Sheikh, to discuss strengthening parliamentary relations.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed key issues related to expanding and enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, The Caspian Post reports, citing Tajik media.

It was noted that friendly and fraternal relations between the two countries continue to develop on the basis of mutual respect and constructive collaboration.

Idizoda highlighted the high level of political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian ties between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the important role played by parliaments in further reinforcing these relations.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation in the field of legislation, exchange of experience between parliaments, coordination of positions in international organizations, and development of relations between inter-parliamentary friendship groups were also discussed.

The sides expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
