Uzbekistan's Fergana region is taking major steps toward renewable energy, partnering with Kyrgyz company SADAF ENERGY to develop joint initiatives in sustainable power generation.

The meeting was led by Fergana’s regional governor Khayrullo Bozorov and Abubakir Rakhmonov, head of SADAF ENERGY, focusing on projects that could transform the region’s energy sector, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.

Key discussions centered on producing components for next-generation energy equipment, including modern generators, while promoting renewable sources such as solar and small hydropower.

SADAF ENERGY brings expertise in energy resources, infrastructure modernization, and renewable technologies-making it a strategic partner for Uzbekistan’s “green” energy ambitions.

The proposed project will be located in Fergana’s industrial zone, with a strong emphasis on attracting investments and implementing the initiatives in phases. Regional authorities have pledged full support to ensure these projects succeed.

Both sides agreed on a roadmap for continued cooperation, signaling a new chapter in Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan collaboration in sustainable energy, technology development, and regional industrial growth.
