Thailand Considers 15-Day Visa-Free Entry for Uzbek Citizens

Thailand is considering introducing a 15-day visa-free entry regime for citizens of Uzbekistan, potentially making travel easier for Uzbek tourists.

The proposal is expected to be discussed at a meeting of Thailand’s Visa Policy Committee on November 9, according to Sputnik Uzbekistan.

The initiative comes amid difficulties faced by Uzbek travelers in obtaining Thai visas. Previously, Uzbek citizens had to submit their visa applications through the Thai Embassy in Russia, a process that reportedly led Uzbek travel agencies to cancel tour packages.

The proposed measure aims to address these obstacles and facilitate travel between the two countries.

However, Thailand has not yet made a final decision on introducing the 15-day visa-free regime for Uzbek citizens.
