The presidents of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are expected to travel to Astana to attend events surrounding the international sports tournament Future Games 2026, which is being held in the Kazakh capital from July 29 to August 9.

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon are expected to take part in events connected with the tournament, The Caspian Post reports via Zakon.kz.

The arrival of several foreign leaders, alongside the large-scale international competition, has prompted Astana's police to move to an enhanced security regime.

Law enforcement agencies will maintain public order and ensure the safety of residents and visitors throughout the tournament.

The Future Games 2026 are bringing athletes and international delegations to Astana, turning the Kazakh capital into a major hub for sports and international engagement through early August.
