Uzbekistan’s Minister of Mining and Geology Bobir Islamov has met with a delegation from China Coal Resources Development Group, led by Liu Guosheng, to discuss the future of coal mining and innovation in the sector.
During the working meeting, both sides focused on boosting the efficiency of coal extraction and processing through modern technologies and advanced innovative solutions aimed at transforming the industry, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbek media.
A Step Toward Modernization
The talks highlighted opportunities to introduce cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices in Uzbekistan’s coal industry - a move expected to enhance productivity and environmental standards across the sector.
Memorandum Signed for Deeper Cooperation
At the end of the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand collaboration, launch joint projects, and strengthen business relations between Uzbekistan and the Chinese company.
This new partnership marks another important step in Uzbekistan’s efforts to modernize its mining sector, attract foreign investment, and integrate global expertise to drive industrial growth.
