A meeting was held between Zafar Allanov, Deputy Head of the Tashkent Tourism Department, and a delegation led by Zhao Hui, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Congress of Changchun.
Issues related to developing tourist ties between Tashkent and Changchun, increasing the flow of mutual tourists, and expanding cultural exchange programs were discussed at the meeting, held as part of Uzbekistan’s Year of Tourism in China, The Caspian Post reports, citing UzA.
The parties also discussed the joint promotion of Uzbekistan’s tourism brand in the Chinese market, particularly in Tashkent, the organization of B2B meetings, the development of profitable travel packages on the Tashkent-Changchun route, and work to expand the geography of flights. Issues such as attracting Chinese investors to new hotel and tourism infrastructure projects in Uzbekistan, especially in Tashkent, organizing joint festivals and exhibitions in the fields of culture, art, gastronomy, and crafts, and establishing creative exchange programs were considered.
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their firm intention to cooperate.
