In Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s Agriculture Minister Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov has met with Egypt’s Ambassador to Uzbekistan Tamer Hammad to discuss boosting bilateral agricultural cooperation.
The discussions focused on improving current projects, and accelerating new initiatives. Key topics included expanding sugar production, increasing export and import volumes, and promoting scientific exchange and training programs between educational institutions, The Caspian Post reports via Uzbek media.
The parties also explored high-value sectors such as cotton cultivation, genetics, and breeding, while emphasizing business collaboration, investment support, and practical agri-projects. Concrete steps were outlined to further strengthen Uzbekistan-Egypt agricultural ties.
