Uzbekneftegaz, SOCAR Discuss Digitalization and Cybersecurity Cooperation in Baku

Representatives of Uzbekistan's Uzbekneftegaz company and the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) have held talks in Baku on expanding cooperation in digitalization and information security.

During the visit to SOCAR’s headquarters, the parties discussed Uzbekneftegaz’s Digitalization Strategy 2030, a new IT architecture, cybersecurity priorities, and future areas of collaboration between the two national energy companies, The Caspian Post informs via Uzbekneftegaz.

The Uzbek delegation reviewed SOCAR’s leading practices in digital transformation, artificial intelligence, automation, and corporate governance. The program included visits to the Caspian Innovation Center, the SOCAR Carbamide Plant, and the SOCAR Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery.

According to Uzbekneftegaz, SOCAR specialists delivered detailed presentations covering industrial robotics, drone-based automated monitoring, AI-driven process optimization, seismic data analysis, large language model (LLM) technologies, digital twin solutions, intelligent energy management systems, and the deployment of ERP platforms.

The delegation also examined SOCAR’s corporate governance framework, including performance management, internal document flow, real-time analytics dashboards, AI integration, and its advanced cybersecurity infrastructure - the Security Operations Center, Security Engineering, and Security Compliance units.

Uzbekneftegaz said the working visit represented “an important step in exchanging experience and shaping new joint projects in the fields of innovation and digital transformation.”
