Armenia, Germany Ink Aviation Safety Cooperation MoU

The Aviation Accident and Serious Incident Investigation Division of Armenia’s Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure and Germany’s Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation (BFU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate on the investigation of aviation accidents and incidents.

According to the ministry, the goal of the cooperation is to enhance the level of civil aviation safety and prevent aviation accidents, The Caspian Post reports, citing Armenian media.

Under the memorandum, the Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation of Germany, if necessary and within its capabilities, will provide support and assistance to Armenia in the use of equipment required for aviation investigations, the decoding and analysis of flight data and onboard recordings, access to technical laboratory services, as well as professional assistance in areas related to airworthiness, air navigation services, and aerodromes.
